Sourdough Protein Pancakes <3<3<3

Hi friend!

How are you doing? I wanted to share this recipe with you. So many people have asked me for my sourdough protein pancake recipe after sharing this photo the other day, so here it is.

And let me tell you, it's SO GOOD! My kids love them and they are picky! If you try this recipe, let me know how you liked it!

  • 2 cups unbleached flour (bread flour, all-purpose, or whole wheat)
  • 4 scoops protein powder (e.g., KOS)
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 bottle of protein shake (e.g., Premier Protein)
  • 1 smashed banana
  • 2 ounces Greek yogurt (you can use a tube of kids' yogurt)
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup flavorless oil
  • 2 eggs or 4 egg whites
  • 100 grams sourdough starter

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, mix the dry ingredients together.
  2. Add the wet ingredients and mix well. Use water to thin the batter to your desired consistency, similar to a normal pancake batter.
  3. Cook the pancakes on a hot griddle or pan.
  4. Top with fresh berries, and real maple syrup.
  5. Any leftovers can be frozen and reheated later.

Enjoy your protein-packed pancakes!

Let me know if you try this recipe!!!
xoxo,

Heidi

I had my favorite pumpkin beer at a Labor Day pool party on Sunday and I am officially ready for all things pumpkin and fall! So yesterday, I made one of my other favorite things: pumpkin pancakes. I've been using the same recipe for at least ten years because it's so good. These pancakes are what dreams are made of: light, fluffy, and packed with pumpkin! I love them topped with maple syrup, but they are good with just the cheap stuff too! If you love pumpkin, definitely give these a try!...

Cause it was never mine..... But really, how is August already already over? This past week has been a flurry of getting kids back to school, laundry piling up, and I haven't baked anything in a week! This is the first time I've had an empty home in 8 years as my youngest is now in full-time pre-K. This is also the first year I didn't take on any cake orders. In the past, I made multiple cake and cupcake orders every week, but growing my online business(my sourdough group and now my growing...

pumpkin gobs What's a gob and is it sourdough? No...LOL! So If you're asking what a "gob" is, it is also known as a "whoopie pie by the Amish." It's basically a cookie sandwich but the cookies are more like cake. The frosting in a traditional chocolate gob is usually a fluffy cooked frosting, but for my favorite flavor, pumpkin, a cream cheese filling is a must. I grew up in Western Pennylvania in Amish country and they were sold at our local Gas Stations! I know this isn't Sourdough, but I...
